The Magician's Musicians

One of the most vital ways of communicating thoughts, emotions, and ideas throughout all of time has always been through music. Music, an important backbone of society breathes life into what would otherwise be a world full of dullness and grey. So, fortunately here at Craving Narnia, all three of us have recognized the importance of music and are happy to share a little taste into the types of music we enjoy creating! Music shown in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is used to portray the opposite of greed and envy- hope and happiness! This is proven with Mr Tumnus during his teatime conversation with Lucy. “He had wonderful tales to tell of life in the forest. He told about the midnight dances.. And to cheer himself up, took out a strange little flute and began to play.” (Lewis 17).  As so clearly stated, the magic of music is still prevalent, even in Narnia and during depressing times. Which is why us here at Craving Narnia invite you to sit back, relax, and listen to some of the music we have to share along with our interpretations of it!
