Four of the five children who had won tickets to visit Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory for the first time in over sixty years have gotten a lot more than they bargained for.

Just less than a day ago, the large, ominous gates to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory opened for the first time in more years than almost anyone can remember to admit five lucky children and their guardians to an experience of a lifetime. But, was the experience all that they hoped for?

Many children throughout the world would have given anything to be those chosen ones entering the factory that churns out the most delicious chocolate in the world. But, the Fortunate Five, somewhat randomly selected through golden tickets being hidden in chocolate bars and then distributed around the world, are the only who have entered the premises in years. “I can recall the last time I entered that factory… t’was when I was a young man,” reminisced an old man, previously a worker there. According to him, the reason for the whole factory becoming off limits from the public was due to people attempting to steal Wonka’s recipes and sell them to other companies.

So why the sudden change of heart? Well that still remains unclear but for Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, Veruca Salt, Mike Teavee and latest ticket finder, Charlie Bucket, they were given what was thought to be the best opportunity in their lives. However, just after 4pm on that cold day, only a mere 6 hours after entering the factory, an interesting sight occurred. Over the course of the next two hours, the children and their parents began straggling out individually with rather odd and altered appearances.

Augustus Gloop, famously known for eating as many chocolate bars as possible to find the precious ticket was previously a rather heavy set young man. However, after his experience in the chocolate factory, not only has he seemed to have become quite thinner, but left coated in a thick layer of what appeared to be melted chocolate. His mother refused any comments on his appearance just stating, “He will be alright, it is just chocolate”.

Violet Beauregarde was next to leave the factory after Augustus and has also had the most peculiar alteration. Quite a competitive child beforehand, she left with her mom quite blue in the face--literally. Her skin seems to have turned an abnormal purple colour which her mother looked less than thrilled about.

Veruca Salt and wealthy businessman, Mr Salt seemed to have left relatively unscathed, besides appearing quite filthy and covered with items that one might find in the rubbish. The typically immaculate family appears to be at a loss of words for once, however according to a butler for the family, quite a lot has changed in the past day. Mr Salt has stopped giving in to his daughter’s demands and has allegedly put his foot down to her daily spending sprees which have cost him hundreds of pounds over the past few years.

And last to leave was Mike Teavee, who had the most shocking appearance change of all. Not only did he seem to become only a few inches thin, but his height surpassed that of any man in the country. Unlike the others however, his father and himself seemed relatively relieved and muttered something about being 7 feet tall being better than 7 inches.

Despite all of these weird warps happening to the children, there is still one surprise left in store. Where did young Charlie Bucket go? The only one of the children to have one the ticket by chance, Charlie nor his grandfather have yet been seen exiting the premises of Wonka’s Chocolate factory. With the mysterious circumstances of the other children’s fate, it is unknown what has become of Charlie Bucket.
